Learn taiko
We offer an ‘Introduction to Taiko’ workshop several times a year where you can come and try out taiko. Each workshop is followed by an 8-week beginner taiko course, with classes held weekly on Sundays.

Cost:
$100 for an 8-week course ($10 discount if you’ve attended the ‘Introduction to Taiko’ workshop)
What you’ll learn
Over 8 lessons you’ll learn basic taiko drumming techniques, rhythms and choreography. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to play several taiko pieces and will likely feel fitter, stronger and more flexible. You’ll also have the chance to join Taikoza at a fun public performance to showcase your skills.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothing you can stretch in (no jeans)
- Water bottle
